There are two series of monthly workshops: Merryn’s Glover’s Writing Workshops and Hamish Napier’s Folk Music Workshops. Details below.
Word & Image Workshops – With Merryn Glover
Merryn is an award-winning author with extensive experience in teaching and writing.
Adults
Our writing workshops will continue at the Highland Folk Museum, responding to items in the collections there, both inside and out. That has proved a wonderful partnership and there are still many riches to mine. Merryn will lead most of these, but will also recruit other Highland authors to share their unique skills and perspectives. The writing can extend beyond history or Highland life of course, driven by your imagination. Tea, coffee, and biscuits are provided. Here’s a write-up of the first workshop this year to give you a feel for it.
When: First Tuesday of the Month, February to December (except July), 6.30 pm:
4th February, 4th March, 1st April, 6th May, 3rd June, 5th Aug (school holidays), 2nd Sept, 7th October, 4th Nov, 2nd Dec
Venue: Am Fasgadh building, Highland Folk Museum, Kingussie Rd, Newtonmore PH20 1AY – Am Fasgadh is at the north end of the site with a dedicated entrance and car park. It is fully accessible.
